Dear Matilda,

My name is Maija Meikäläinen, I'm a 16-year-old girl from Finland and I would like to come to Italy for an ESN exchange next September. I'm writing to you to find out if you could be my exchange partner.

I live in Nokia which is a small town next to Tampere, about 160 km from Helsinki. I go to Nokian lukio and my favourite school subjects are arts, languages and sports. I speak English, Swedish and German.  My hobbies are tennis, swimming and playing the violin. I'm also interested in cooking, hiking and travelling. In the evenings I usually go out with my friends, watch the TV or read books and listen to music. I'm allergic to seafood but I don't have any medical conditions other than that.

I live with my mother and two sisters who are 11 and 14 years old. We have a small dog and two turtles. My mother speaks English, Swedish and a little French.

Attached you will find some photos of me and my home town. I hope you would write me soon and tell me something about yourself.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Terveisin Maija
